Taking a break from some Gonzo and POV, I recently settled in to watch Nica Noelle’s latest creation “Wives Club,” and have some fun watching some smartly thought out porn based on the 1990′s comedy “First Wives Club.” Nica lined up a stellar cast and I really think she had fun with this film.
But, honestly, I have to admit that I never saw the original with Goldie, Brette, and Diane,…so as a good, obedient reviewer, I brought home the original to watch before I indulged in the XXX version. It was funny for the most part,…a “chick flick” as they say, but I loved the NYC exterior shots and the typical comedic twists. So…what can Nica do with her version? Well,..obviously there was implied sex in the original,…Nica gets to explore that,…and we get rewarded!!
There is quite a bit of non-sex set up to begin the film, as you would expect, introducing the plot and main characters. We generally see how three middle-aged women are dealing with the separation or divorce from their husbands, while the husbands have all decided to latch on to fresh, younger women. The first sex scene between Evan Stone and Chastity Lynn is my favorite of the five included throughout the movie. Evan plays the past partner of gorgeous Raylene, although now he’s got 24 year old Chastity on his arm. After an uncomfortable incident at a restaurant, Evan and Chastity return home and have a little pouty spat. They are soon making up in the bedroom as Evan goes right between her legs. Chastity chants out her enjoyment with a slight raspy voice reminiscent of Katie Morgan, and does one my favorite things, clinching the sheets as the scene steams up. Nica pays attention to detail, and the scene has a romantic, yet very sexy atmosphere. The multiple camera work is noticeably well done, especially the close-ups. There is some aggressive cock sucking and ass licking, and after a series of positions, Evan delivers a decent load on Chastity’s gorgeous stomach.
I spoke with Chastity about her character, noting that in the film, one of her lines is,”Men stay attractive even when they’re older,…,” This is a big premise of both the original film and this adult version. I asked if Chastity Lynn, the actress, believes that to be true too? She responded,”Yes I do believe older men are attractive. In fact I believe all people have different qualities that make them attractive, whether it be looks, attitude, power or personality. I love people and having good sex with them.” Regarding the attraction of wealth, success, or other similar factors, she added, “…It all depends on the person, and how they come across….I don’t consider myself a gold digger and I believe my character was made out to be one.”
Back to the story, the next scene has Nina Hartley and her husband Jay at their marriage therapist’s office, played by Evelyn Lin. As their session ends, we see a certain gesture by Jay that shows us that there’s more going on with Evelyn than the surface reveals.
Meanwhile, Helly Mae, the famous actress, is pissed off and drunk. She calls her husband and business partner Mark Wood (who’s comfortably in bed with Ash Hollywood) to find out why their PR firm has dumped Helly, and as find out, picked up Ash as a client through Mark. To add insult, Mark drops some other news on Helly about Ash. After some interesting dialogue, the scene culminates with a nice raunchy young/old sex scene. Mark gets Ash warmed up with some clit lapping, and after a cock workover by Ash, they fuck in three positions before we get a pop shot on Ash’s silky mound. Again, I noticed how Nica takes the time and care to make sure the sensuality in her scenes is a priority.
Next, Helly calms down enough to meet script writer Seth Gamble at the restaurant where a misunderstanding in casting roles for a screenplay adds more to the rift involving Helly, Mark, and Ash. Also we learn more about clueless, bubbly Nina and her husbands involvement with Evelyn the therapist. Finally, the three dissed wives meet again for lunch, and in comparing their issues with men, decide to fight fire with fire.
This leads to the rapid fire of three sex scenes: a hot lesbian scene with Nina and Evelyn, an office, casting couch fuck with Helly and Seth, and Raylene gets some sweet revenge on Evan as she and Bruce screw in a steamy, almost animalistic romp in a back room at the restaurant.
Nica Noelle has turned out another winner. Additionally, in my discussion with Chastity Lynn she had this to add about Noelle: “Working with Nica is always so much fun. She is one of my very favorite directors. I like the contrast in the way she shoots scenes as it gives me the opportunity to be very passionate and connect with my partners in a different way than most companies. I respect her for being a powerful woman in this male dominated industry. Not only that, she is one of two women who has made my dreams come true by pairing me with amazing talent who I have great chemistry with.”
“Wives Club” is a fun watch, especially for couples, or if you enjoy young/old scenarios. There were a couple technical flaws, but Nica overrides that with her great camera direction and awesome close-ups. Nina Hartley demonstrates why she may be one of the best cross-over talents as she stays in character even in her sex scene. Legendary Veronica Hart has a guest non sex role as Nina’s sister, which adds to a great offering by Sweet Sinama keeping a plot line in all that sexy nakedness. This is definitely a rental for your viewing pleasure, unless you’re a big fan of Raylene, Ash, Helly Mae, or especially Chastity Lynn,….then it should be added as a keeper to your collection.
