Referring to itself as “…simply the most realistic sex in lesbian adult video,” I had to really push myself to sit down for over four hours and check this DVD out. I enjoy every kind of porn, but I do have my favorites, and lesbian sex is not very high on my list. However, I do know it is a very popular genre, and since I adore and appreciate the women involved, I finally smiled and made the best of it. I know,…pretty tough afternoon to get through,….!!
Back in the 1980′s and early 90′s, Adult film maker and director Anthony Spinelli had a series of films called “Reel People” where he interviewed real people, totally unscripted, and then introduced them to porn talent, filming a scene with them. “Lesbian Sex” doesn’t necessarily copy this concept, but it does offer dialogue and conversation with the women before what appears to be totally unscripted lesbian sex. Not exactly a “reality show” either, but it is a pretty decent production of women exploring and having fun “for real.”
The first disc starts with a twenty-five minute chit-chat between Dyanne Lauren, Hayden Hawkins, Elexis Monroe, and Savannah Steele. The ladies discuss their sexual preferences, experiences, and ideas as only “raging hormonal oppressive lesbians” can, as Elexis humorously self labels the group. The discussion is interesting, but not to the point that I feel I really gained too much,….the ladies appeared to though, as they pair off for the next two scenes that fill the remainder of the first disc.
The second disc begins with Sinn Sage and Ela Darling fielding questions to charge up their erotic talk. Good friends in “real life,” we get over thirty five minutes of informative, somewhat entertaining banter from these young women. You sense more chemistry from these two then those in the scenes from disc one. They get to use a strap-on for this scene and it is definitely the highlight of this film.
The final scene introduces the birthday girl Melissa Monet and interesting Jiz Lee sitting and talking to one another, mostly focused on Jiz Lee’s unique self-definition and sexuality. After a lengthy forty-five minute repartee, they head into the bedroom, where in true lesbian fashion, the birthday girl has a pretty damn good time with Jiz and a handy strap-on.
Finally, the sex in the four scenes was definitely topped with Sinn and Ela in scene three. The remainder of the DVD set is pretty standard for any bi-fem and/or lesbian audience. As I mentioned, it’s not a genre high on my popular list, so you could probably let this one pass,…..unless,…if this is your kind of genre, you owe it to yourself to at least investigate it, and possibly rent it. There is an interesting article at shewired.com written by a visitor to the set of this film when it was shot last October. That should be checked out as well if you decide to watch this decent production from Girlfriends Films.
